Delaware has two forgivable student loan programs that allows residents that want to go into teaching or nursing in the state of Delaware a loan that can be forgiven by completing work in the state.

Delaware Scholarship Programs
Delaware has several scholarship programs available to Delaware students.
Career-Based Scholarship
Scholarship for full-time undergraduate students enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in a Delaware public or private college in a major leading to a career in a high-need field in Delaware.
This scholarship awards up to $5,000 per year, and you can re-apply each year.

Scholarship for full-time graduate or undergraduate students attending a Delaware public or private college who intend to pursue a career in education in high needs teaching areas and education specialist areas such as speech language pathologists, school psychologists, school social workers, and school counselors.
This scholarship awards up to $5,000 per year, and you can re-apply each year.

B. Bradford Barnes Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is open to Delaware high school students who rank in upper quarter of class and have a combined score of 1290 on the SAT and will enroll full-time at the University of Delaware.
This scholarship provides full tuition, required fees, room, board, and books at the University of Delaware and is renewable for up to three additional years with a cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Charles L. Hebner Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is open to Delaware high school students who rank in upper quarter of class and have a combined score of 1000 on the SAT and will enroll full-time at the University of Delaware. You must major in the humanities or social sciences, with preference given to political science majors.
This scholarship provides full tuition, required fees, room, board, and books at the University of Delaware and is renewable for up to three additional years with a cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Herman M. Holloway Sr. Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is open to Delaware high school students who rank in upper quarter of class and have a combined score of 1000 on the SAT and will enroll full-time at the University of Delaware.
This scholarship provides full tuition, required fees, room, board, and books at the University of Delaware and is renewable for up to three additional years with a cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Delaware Grant Programs
Delaware has several grant programs available to Delaware students. You can learn more at Delaware Goes To College.
Grants are one of the best forms of financial aid because, in most circumstances, you don't have to pay the money back.
Scholarship Incentive Program
This grant is available to need-based students who enroll full-time in an undergraduate degree program at a nonprofit, regionally accredited institution in Delaware.
Awards will be $1,000 per year for both undergraduate and graduate students.
Educational Benefits For Children Of Deceased Veterans And Others
This grant is available to students who had a parent pass away while in the line of duty - whether military or while working in public service in the State of Delaware.
The grant will cover tuition and required fees at a public college in Delaware.
