You want scholarships right now, not grants. And it does take time to search and apply, but it’s well worth it.

I’m a little worried about where you want to go to college. At $26,000 per year, plus room and board, there is very little chance that going to that school would be worth it for how much you pay. It’s called ROI – return on investment. Education is an investment – the goal is to earn more over your life than you would have spent if you didn’t go to college. If you spend $150,000 on college, but don’t earn than much more, it’s not worth it.

I’ve been told that now is the time to start applying got grants for college. The college I want to attend is out of state, $26,000 tuition. I’ve done the research and tried a few times, but to be honest it’s quite confusing. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve filled out an application and realized half way through that it’s for a scholarship. Yours is the only page that’s really cleared things up, but I still don’t know how exactly to start. Any advice will be much appreciated.

Thank you

Your school would let you know via their financial aid office what your award was. If you haven’t heard from your school, you should contact the financial aid office.

We filled it out in Dec 2019 ( I think) or early Jan. I haven’t seen a email or anything regarding the news.
Thank you!
