Here that applies to both undergraduate & graduate programs, a big reason my kid came back to our state after graduation to fulfill his military commitment (Army ROTC scholarship) in our state’s Army National Guard.

Had he not received that college ROTC scholarship he would have moved to a nearby state and joined that state’s Army National Guard to be eligible (after attending both Basic & Advanced camps) for tuition waivers at the flagship state university.

Where otherwise he would have had to pay out-of-state tuition at rates equivalent to private school tuition.

For GI Bill I believe you can use one or the other (DEA or Fry), just not concurrently (i.e. double dip at the same time). You have to exhaust your GI benefits first, then you can use your DEA.

Between DEA and FRY, you must elect for one and cannot use the other for the same event.

I’m the spouse of 100% total and permanent disabled veteran (service connected).

The GI Bill was transferred on time and we intend to have our two children split the benefit.

I cannot determine if the three of us are also entitled to each independently use DEA or the Fry Scholarship.

For instance, if I use the GI Bill, can each child receive 8 semesters of the Fry Scholarship?

Or, if one child uses the full GI Benefit, can the other child use the full Frye Scholarship?

Clarification would be most appreciated as I’ve been surprised many times by off sets.

If they have student loans and work for the Navy, PSLF is probably a good choice.

Thank you so much! Is there anything available for the children/dependents of medically disabled (60%) Navy Vets that are now currently employed with the Dept. of the Navy?
